David is a senior competition, regulatory and trade lawyer based in Brussels and London who has worked for over 20 years in business, government and private practice.
“I advise clients on complex legal and regulatory matters across a wide-range of sectors – with a particular focus on the digital and telecoms sector. I also advise on antitrust issues as well as assisting with merger and foreign direct investment filings. I also assist in the area of EU law, trade law and state aid, including on post-Brexit related issues.
I’ve worked as an official in the UK competition authority and the European Commission where I focused on antitrust and regulatory investigations in network industries. I then moved into private practice with one of Brussels’ leading EU and competition law practices and was involved in many high profile competition law and trade proceedings. I’m now a senior consultant helping organisations to address and manage antitrust and regulatory challenges.”
David also regularly gives talks and lectures on antitrust, trade and regulatory matters, and has taught competition law and state aid courses at university in the UK and Belgium. He is a qualified Belgian and English lawyer and is fluent in English, French and Italian.
