We’re delighted to have partnered with the Roundhouse Trust to empower young, diverse entrepreneurs.
We have a shared mission and ethos with the Roundhouse to transform the lives of thousands of young people.
Our partnership aims to provide the business skills, networks, and opportunities for young people to thrive, and to support the next generation of diverse talent into the widest range of careers that the creative industries offer.
About the Roundhouse
The Roundhouse stage has played host to some of the most iconic moments in British cultural history.
However, the Roundhouse is much more than an iconic music venue – at its core, the Roundhouse is a young people’s charity.
Each year, they give thousands of 11–25-year-olds the chance to develop their skills and increase employment opportunities through creativity.
How it works
Our partnership has three core strands which focus on:
- diversity and inclusion
- volunteering within the community
- improving career opportunities for the Roundhouse’s young people
Together, we’ve piloted a trailblazing project with our collaborative schools programme. This gives pupils from less advantaged backgrounds the opportunity to learn about pathways into, and careers within, the creative industries.
We’ve also provided pro bono legal support to Roundhouse artists and supported pilot schemes for the Roundhouse’s new creative centre –including both workplace and accelerator programmes.
Our affinity and social responsibility groups regularly collaborate with the Roundhouse to provide a schedule of internal talks on topics including black history month, mental health awareness, sustainability and LGBTQ+ issues. As well as proving insightful for our employees, these talks provide a great platform for the Roundhouse’s resident artists.
As part of our partnership, our film and TV experts provide invaluable pro bono support on the Roundhouse Film Fund programme, with one participant each year being awarded the Wiggin Emerging Filmmaker Award.
The award supports young filmmakers in taking the next step in their career. It provides them with further time, space, and funding, as well as access to training, development, mentorship, and industry connections to cement their position as an emerging talent in filmmaking.
