HomeInsightsOfcom notified of new Openreach FTTP pricing offer

Openreach has notified Ofcom of new fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) pricing arrangements that it intends to put in place from 1 April 2023.

Under Ofcom’s wholesale fixed telecoms market review rules, Openreach must notify the regulator of certain offers 90 days before they come into effect. This allows Ofcom, and the wider industry, to assess the offer. Where necessary Ofcom has the power to intervene to prevent terms being introduced.

Ofcom will now consider whether the notified offer raises competition concerns requiring intervention and reach a provisional view. It expects to publish a consultation on this provisional view by early February 2023 and stakeholders will have 30 days to respond.
