We’re delighted to have advised on the launch of True Brit Entertainment, a new theatrical distributor which plans to co-finance more than $150m of independent British film and television productions over the next three years. Founded by former Marv Studios and Lionsgate CEO, Zygi Kamasa, the company plans to invest in and release between four to eight films every year.

Funding for the new venture was led by LA-based talent management and entertainment company Three Six Zero, which represents artists including Calvin Harris and Marcus Rashford.

The Wiggin team was led by Corporate legal director Tom Gastrell who commented “It was a pleasure to advise Zygi and True Brit on this exciting new venture. Zygi’s vast experience and passion for UK independent productions is clear and we’re excited to watch and support the business as it grows”.

David Quli, partner in the Wiggin film team, added “This is a much-needed boost for the British film industry, we are proud to have advised on this important venture and we look forward to seeing the films commissioned by True Brit Entertainment on screens in the coming years”.
