The Unauthorised Entry to Football Matches Bill was introduced to Parliament, as a Private Member’s Bill, by Kevin Brennan MP on 6 December 2023. The Bill seeks to amend the Football (Offences) Act 1991 to make it a criminal offence to enter or attempt to enter premises for the purposes of attending a football match without a match ticket. The Act relates to matches involving either a national side or at least one team from certain UK leagues, such as the Premiere League.

The Bill is due to have its second reading in the House of Commons on 23 February 2023 which is the stage at which the Bill can be debated. However, Private Member’s Bills rarely make it on to the statute books.
